Paxika is looking for a curious, creative and entrepreneurial person to join us as a Media Development Intern.
This is a hands-on opportunity to explore the intersection of media, hospitality, culture and entrepreneurship. You’ll spend time visiting restaurants, hotels, homestays, villas and other interesting places, meeting the people behind them, creating media and helping us discover stories and opportunities worth pursuing.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work across photography, videography, social media, research and media development.
You could be photographing a restaurant one day, shooting a short video at a homestay the next, researching an interesting hospitality business or speaking with a founder, chef, designer or property owner.
You’ll help create and develop visual and editorial content for Paxika and its ventures, while also identifying interesting businesses, people, places, stories and potential collaborations.
The role will also give you exposure to the broader business — including partnerships, brand development, market research, new concepts and early-stage venture building.
Who We’re Looking For
We are particularly interested in students from journalism, media, mass communication, hospitality, hotel management, photography, film, communication design, architecture, liberal arts, business and related fields.
You should have a natural curiosity about people, places, food, design, travel and culture.
You should also have an eye for aesthetics and an interest in photography, filmmaking, writing, design or storytelling. You don’t need to be an expert — we care more about your ability to learn, experiment and develop your own point of view.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone entrepreneurial. Someone who notices things, asks questions, takes initiative and is excited by the possibility of turning an observation into an idea.
What You’ll Get
You’ll work closely with the Paxika team and gain practical exposure to media, hospitality, branding and entrepreneurship.
You’ll have the opportunity to build a portfolio of real work, develop your creative skills, meet people across the industry and understand how ideas move from research to execution.
There will also be room to explore different avenues based on your interests. A person who starts with photography may become interested in editorial, partnerships, brand development or even building something of their own.
Compensation
This is an unpaid internship, and we want to be transparent about that from the beginning.
The opportunity is designed around learning, access, mentorship, real-world experience and the ability to build meaningful work. For the right person, there may be opportunities to take on greater responsibility or explore longer-term opportunities with Paxika based on performance and mutual fit.
Location
Goa
This is a field-oriented role. You’ll be spending time outside the office, visiting places, meeting people and creating.
