Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Maintenance Executive with a stone industry background, located in Bhiwandi. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment used in stone processing, cutting, polishing, and handling. The Mechanical Maintenance Executive will inspect machinery regularly, diagnose mechanical issues, and carry out repairs or replacements to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations. Responsibilities include coordinating with production teams to schedule maintenance, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and implementing improvements to extend equipment life and efficiency. The role may also involve reviewing technical drawings, collaborating with vendors or service providers, and supporting compliance with safety and quality standards on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance skills, including preventive and breakdown maintenance of industrial machinery in the stone or related manufacturing industries.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering knowledge and practical experience with mechanical systems, components, and industrial equipment.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for understanding and working with mechanical drawings and equipment layouts.
- Candidates should possess Inspection abilities for assessing equipment condition, safety compliance, and identifying wear, faults, or deviations.
- Candidates should possess Automotive-related mechanical skills, especially in maintaining material handling vehicles or similar industrial assets, where applicable.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
- Previous experience in the stone industry or heavy manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices, troubleshooting techniques, and basic documentation/reporting skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Bhiwandi, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage tasks independently.
MECHANCIAL MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR – STONE INDUSTRY
Job description:
Location: Ajmer-Jaipur Exp., next to Mahindra Tractors, Mahlan, Rajasthan 303007
Role Summary
The Supervisor will oversee and execute preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance for all
mechanical equipment within the stone processing unit to ensure maximum uptime and operational
safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Supervision: Lead a team of fitters, welders, and technicians; allocate daily tasks and monitor
work quality.
- Preventive Maintenance: Plan and execute PM schedules for Gangsaws, Block Cutters, Line Polishing
Machines, Dressing Machines, Resin Lines, EOT Cranes, Compressors, and Water Treatment Plants.
- Breakdown Management: Attend urgent breakdowns, diagnose faults, and restore machinery
promptly while maintaining analysis reports.
- Machine Health: Monitor and replace wear parts, including blades, abrasives, bearings, hydraulics,
and pneumatics.
- Inventory Management: Prepare indents for spare parts and consumables, maintain critical stocks,
and coordinate with the procurement team.
- Installation & Upgrades: Support the commissioning of new machinery and coordinate with OEM
technicians using mechanical drawings.
- Documentation: Maintain equipment history cards, PM checklists, and breakdown logs.
- Cost Control: Monitor maintenance expenses and suggest improvements for energy efficiency.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in mechanical maintenance, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Experience in the stone, marble, or granite industry is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, and conveyors.
- Software: Basic proficiency in MS Excel.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Environment includes dust, noise, water, and heavy machinery.
- Rotational shift work is required.
