Role Description The HEAD PRODUCTION TRANSFORMER (400KVA) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The role involves overseeing end-to-end production activities for 400KVA transformers, including planning daily production schedules, monitoring workflows, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. The individual will coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and quality teams to manage materials, resolve technical issues, and maintain timely output. Responsibilities include managing production staff, optimizing resource utilization, controlling production costs, and preparing reports on performance and productivity. The role also requires continuous improvement of processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry and company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Production Planning and Production Management to organize schedules, allocate resources, and meet output targets.
- Experience in Operations Management to oversee processes, ensure quality compliance, and maintain safety standards on the shop floor.
- Proficiency in Team Management to lead, train, and motivate production staff, while fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment.
- Ability in Budgeting to control production costs, monitor expenditures, and support cost-effective decision-making.
- Relevant technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering, preferably with experience in transformer manufacturing or heavy electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to transformer production and testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Minimum diploma or degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical or related field); prior leadership experience in a production environment is highly beneficial.
