Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop mechanical components and systems for electric two-wheelers, with a focus on durability, performance, and manufacturability. Responsibilities include creating and revising CAD models and drawings, performing calculations and simulations, supporting prototyping and testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as industrial design, electronics, and manufacturing. The role involves participating in R&D activities, analyzing field data and user feedback, and implementing design improvements tailored to Indian road and climate conditions. The Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to project planning, documentation, and coordination with suppliers and production teams.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with hands-on experience in Machine Design.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailing, and assembly design.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including concept validation, prototyping, and testing.
- Competence in Project Management, including planning, tracking deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for reliability in automotive or mobility applications.
- Ability to interpret standards and regulations relevant to vehicle safety and performance.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in electric vehicles, two-wheeler design, or Indian automotive markets is an advantage.
