We work with industrial clients, architects, builders, developers, consultants, facility teams, and other stakeholders to provide practical and reliable fire safety solutions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Marketing & Business Development Executive – Industrial Fire Safety to join our growing team in the Chandigarh Tricity region.
This is a field-oriented B2B role that does not require regular office attendance. The candidate will focus on developing relationships and identifying business opportunities across Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali, Dera Bassi, and surrounding industrial areas.
The role will involve meeting and building relationships with industrial clients, architects, builders, developers, consultants, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders. The candidate will also visit industrial and commercial establishments to understand their requirements and introduce them to the solutions offered by Vidya Engineering.
The candidate should be comfortable travelling locally for client meetings, site visits, networking, and business development activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visit prospective clients, businesses, industrial establishments, project sites, and commercial locations across Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali, Dera Bassi, and surrounding regions.
- Meet potential clients and understand their current or upcoming fire safety requirements.
- Develop relationships with factories, manufacturing units, pharmaceutical companies, warehouses, commercial establishments, architects, builders, developers, consultants, and contractors.
- Identify upcoming construction projects, plant expansions, new facilities, and renovation or upgrading requirements.
- Introduce Vidya Engineering's capabilities and explain how our services can support clients with their fire safety requirements.
- Develop a practical understanding of our fire safety systems and services.
- Learn the basic applications of hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm and detection systems, fire extinguishers, fire pumps, fire water tanks, and other fire protection solutions.
- Understand client requirements at a basic level and coordinate with our technical team whenever detailed technical assistance is required.
- Coordinate site visits and meetings between prospective clients and the technical team.
- Maintain regular communication and follow up with prospective and existing clients.
- Maintain a basic database of contacts, prospects, meetings, requirements, and follow-ups.
- Conduct market research to understand local industrial activity, upcoming projects, and potential business opportunities.
- Assist in preparing company presentations, introductory material, proposals, and other marketing communications.
- Support the company in developing long-term relationships with clients, architects, builders, consultants, and other industry stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure that client requirements are communicated properly and followed through.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Freshers and candidates with 0–3 years of relevant experience are welcome to apply.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable meeting and speaking with new people.
- Willingness to travel locally and spend time in the field.
- Interest in understanding technical products and industrial solutions.
- Ability to learn and communicate basic technical concepts.
- Good follow-up and relationship-building skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and WhatsApp.
- A two-wheeler and valid driving licence will be preferred, as regular local travel will be part of the role.
- Candidates with prior exposure to industrial sales, engineering services, construction, fire & safety, electrical, HVAC, or similar technical industries will be an advantage but not necessary.
