Junior Content & Social Media Executive to join our growing team. If you're passionate about storytelling, social media, content creation, and building brands in the AI ecosystem, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Junior Content & Social Media Executive, you'll help shape and grow 16VC's digital presence across social media and content channels. You'll create engaging content, coordinate podcasts and videos, support founder branding, and work closely with designers, marketers, and leadership to build a strong online community.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys creativity, keeps up with social media trends, and wants to make an impact in a fast-paced startup environment.
What You'll Do
- Create engaging content for LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, and other social platforms.
- Plan and maintain a monthly content calendar aligned with marketing goals.
- Write captions, social posts, newsletters, blogs, and short-form marketing copy.
- Coordinate the production, editing, and publishing of podcasts and video content.
- Collaborate with designers and video editors to create compelling creatives, reels, and short-form videos.
- Schedule and publish content using social media management tools.
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and help grow online communities.
- Track content performance and share insights to improve engagement and reach.
- Stay updated with social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats.
- Support campaigns, product launches, events, and founder branding initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 0–3 years of experience in Social Media, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field (internships and freelance experience are welcome).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good understanding of LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, and emerging social platforms.
- Ability to write engaging, audience-focused content across different formats.
- Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Basic knowledge of video editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Passion for startups, AI, technology, and digital storytelling.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing social media accounts through internships, freelance work, or personal projects.
- Understanding of founder branding, personal branding, and thought leadership content.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and analytics tools.
- Familiarity with podcast publishing platforms and video workflows.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, or other AI-powered content creation tools.
