Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Manager role based in Kolkata. The Manager will oversee engagement planning and execution, supervise teams, and ensure timely delivery of auditing, accounting, and advisory assignments. Responsibilities include reviewing work papers and reports, maintaining compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements, and resolving complex technical and operational issues. The role requires regular interaction with clients to understand their business needs, provide practical solutions, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization. The Manager will also contribute to staff mentoring, training, and performance evaluation, while supporting business development initiatives and enhancing firm-wide best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in accounting, auditing, taxation, and compliance, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, mentoring, workload planning, and performance feedback.
- Client relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and provide value-added advisory support.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess risks, identify control gaps, and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, documentation, and presentation capabilities.
- Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent; prior experience in a CA firm or professional services environment is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with accounting and audit software, MS Excel, and other productivity tools; comfort with adopting new technologies and digital workflows.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
