Full Time | Navsari, Gujarat
About the Company :
Thiese Precision Pvt. Ltd. manufactures cold-rolled steel products and engineered profiles for demanding B2B applications. We compete on precision, quality, consistency and customer value.
About the Role :
We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to independently lead Thiese’s day-to-day finance and accounts function. The role requires hands-on ownership of books, closing, compliance, manufacturing costing, inventory controls and cash flow - not only audit coordination or transaction entry. You will work closely with business leadership, plant teams, the accounts team and external advisers.
Key Responsibilities :
· Accounting, closing and finalisation Own the general ledger, accounting reviews and monthly/year-end close. Prepare financial statements and schedules under the applicable reporting framework; ensure accurate accruals, provisions, depreciation and balance-sheet reconciliations.
· Manufacturing inventory and costing Reconcile raw material, WIP, finished goods and scrap quantities and values with Stores, PPC and Production. Review physical verification, stock ageing, yield/consumption variances, conversion costs, scrap credits and rework costs; investigate discrepancies and control adjustments.
· Compliance and audits Own the compliance calendar for GST, TDS/TCS, income tax and other applicable filings and reconciliations. Coordinate statutory/tax audits, company-law matters and notices with auditors, tax advisers and the company secretary; maintain complete supporting records.
· Cash flow, banking and working capital Maintain a rolling cash-flow forecast and payment plan. Monitor receivables, overdue collections, payables, advances and inventory funding. Manage bank reconciliations and banking documentation, including lender reporting where applicable, within delegated authority.
· Commercial and internal controls Review procure-to-pay and order-to-cash controls, including PO/receipt/invoice matching, supplier and customer reconciliations, credit/debit notes and scrap-sale accounting. Enforce documented approvals, maker-checker controls and an auditable trail for payments and adjustments.
· Business reporting and profitability Deliver management reports on P&L, cash flow, working capital, budget versus actuals and product/customer profitability. Explain operating variances and identify cost leakage; agree follow-up actions with the relevant business owners.
· Capital expenditure and fixed assets Maintain fixed-asset and capital-work-in-progress records. Track project spend against approvals and budgets; validate capitalisation, depreciation, physical verification and authorised asset disposals.
· SAP implementation and team ownership Lead the finance work stream with the SAP partner: validate masters, opening balances, inventory valuation, migration, testing and reconciliation with procurement, production and sales. Supervise accounting execution, strengthen documentation and train users in agreed controls.
Experience & Qualifications :
· Qualified CA/ICWA with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years with direct responsibility for manufacturing or plant finance and accounts.
· Demonstrated ability to independently manage monthly closing, finalisation, reconciliations, tax compliance and audits. Articleship or audit-only exposure without operating ownership is not sufficient for this role.
· Strong practical understanding of RM/WIP/FG/scrap accounting, inventory valuation, manufacturing costing, yield-related variances and working-capital management. Steel, metals or process manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
· Hands on capability in GST and TDS/TCS compliance, banking, receivables/payables controls, financial reporting and management MIS.
· Strong Excel and ERP skills. SAP finance experience and involvement in an ERP implementation or migration are preferred; ability to reconcile finance with purchasing, production, inventory and sales is essential.
· Experience supervising accounts work and coordinating with plant teams, auditors, banks and management. High integrity, attention to detail and willingness to investigate source transactions are essential.
