Accounting Manager is responsible for supervising a team of accountants overlooking all the Accounts/Finance department activities including but not limited to Accounts Payable, GL Accounting, Banking, Bank Account & Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Fixed Assets & Prepaid Expenses/Amortization, Depreciation, Inter-Company Accounting, External Audit support, Financial Reporting, Tax & Statutory Compliance etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train and supervise team members on all accounting processes mentioned above
- Attend periodic meetings and provide analytical support for management evaluation
- Prepare & improve monthly financial & operational management reports
- Support QSF Admin & QSF Accounting team for reports
- Ensuring timely monthly book closure in Oracle NetSuite and Quick Books
- Interface with multiple bank platforms to account for banking transactions
- Develop & publish reporting metrics of KPIs
- Prepare financial trends and variance analyses comparing current operating results with prior operating results for operational actions
- Hire, train, develop and lead the accounting staff with the goal of maximizing the strengths of each team member to create an efficient, high functioning team
- Setting goals & objectives of team members and conducting performance evaluation
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance team
- Understand and adhere to all company policies, including but not limited to security, trade secrets and confidentiality of all information
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Chartered Accountant/CPA/CIMA/ACCA
- 5+ years of work experience in Accounting/Finance, including 2-3 years’ supervisory experience preferably in BPO/KPO/ITES industry.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite highly preferred
- Exposure to other popular Accounting applications, such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including excellent Excel skills
- Strong ability to collaborate with all levels across the organization
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal with problem solving ability
- Strong attention to detail
- Work under stress with interruptions and deadlines
- Supporting & coordinating with onshore team based out of US offices.
