Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Erode, responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment at the facility. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems to minimize downtime. The role involves responding to breakdowns, completing maintenance records, and coordinating with supervisors to plan repairs and improvements. The Maintenance Technician will follow safety procedures, use appropriate tools and testing equipment, and support continuous improvement of maintenance practices. Collaboration with other technical staff and adherence to company standards are key aspects of this position.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Maintenance & Repair abilities.
- Candidates should possess experience in planning and performing Preventive Maintenance activities.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical systems relevant to industrial machinery.
- Candidates should possess the ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and maintenance documentation.
- Candidates should possess good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a safety-focused mindset.
- Candidates should possess prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment; vocational or technical certification in mechanical/electrical trade is preferred.
- Candidates should possess the physical ability to work on-site, including standing, lifting, and working with tools and equipment.
