Looking for a part-time maintenance developer (Riyadh / Gulf).
We have a live production app — Node.js + TypeScript backend, React frontend, PostgreSQL with Prisma — and we need someone reliable to keep it healthy. This is not a build-from-scratch role. It's dependency updates, bug fixes, small feature tweaks, and being reachable when something breaks.
The work is light: a few hours a month in normal times, more when something needs attention.
What matters to us:
- Solid TypeScript across the stack — you're comfortable in both the API and the React app
- Real Prisma experience (migrations that don't lose data, schema changes on a live DB)
- You've dealt with Arabic before — RTL layouts, bilingual UI, Arabic text in PDF output. This breaks in ways people outside the region don't anticipate.
- ZATCA / e-invoicing familiarity is a strong plus — Phase 2 integration, UBL XML, QR codes, clearance vs. reporting
- Riyadh-based or Gulf timezone preferred, so we overlap on working hours
Compensation is a monthly retainer plus hourly for anything beyond scope. Fully remote.
