Role Description The Logistics Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day logistics operations, including shipment planning, tracking deliveries, and ensuring accurate documentation. The Logistics Officer will work closely with warehouse teams and transportation partners to maintain optimal inventory levels, manage dispatch schedules, and resolve any operational issues. The role involves monitoring warehouse activities, supporting supply chain processes, maintaining administrative records, and preparing regular reports on logistics performance. The Logistics Officer will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve procedures, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong Logistics Management skills, including coordination of shipments, route planning, and delivery tracking.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles to support end-to-end movement of goods and materials.
- Experience in Inventory Control, including stock monitoring, reconciliation, and documentation.
- Understanding of Warehouse Operations, with the ability to oversee storage, dispatch, and handling activities.
- Administrative skills to manage records, prepare reports, and maintain compliance with internal policies and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic logistics software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in logistics, warehousing, or transportation operations will be an advantage.
