Role Description The Listings Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kanpur. This role is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining product listings across online marketplaces, company websites, and internal catalog systems. Day-to-day tasks include gathering accurate product information, writing clear and appealing descriptions, ensuring correct pricing and stock details, and uploading high-quality images. The Listings Officer will coordinate with production, sales, and design teams to verify product specifications, manage listing schedules, and ensure consistency and compliance with platform guidelines. The role also involves monitoring listing performance, identifying errors or gaps, and recommending improvements to enhance visibility and sales.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in data entry, organization, and attention to detail for managing product listings and catalog information.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate product descriptions and basic marketing copy.
- Comfort with using computers, web-based tools, and spreadsheets; familiarity with e-commerce platforms or inventory systems is an advantage.
- Basic analytical skills to review listing performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with production, sales, and design teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in listings management, e-commerce, retail, or product cataloging is beneficial.
- Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree or diploma in business, commerce, or a related field is an added advantage.
