Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Life Insurance Agent role located in Kanyakumari district. The agent will identify prospective clients, explain LIC’s life insurance and financial products, and recommend suitable solutions based on individual needs and risk profiles. Daily responsibilities include meeting customers, conducting financial needs assessments, preparing policy proposals, and assisting clients throughout the application and underwriting process. The role requires ongoing client relationship management, handling policy renewals and claims-related support, and maintaining accurate records of sales activities. The agent will also participate in local marketing initiatives, community outreach, and regular performance reviews to achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to branch growth.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of Insurance Sales and Insurance products, with the ability to match offerings to customer needs.
- Capability in Insurance Brokerage and Insurance advisory, helping clients compare and choose appropriate plans.
- Basic knowledge of Finance, including savings, investments, and risk management concepts.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on clear communication, empathy, and post-sales support.
- Additional beneficial qualifications: prior experience in sales or financial services, familiarity with the local market in Kanyakumari district, proficiency in relevant regional languages and English, and comfort using digital tools for policy management and reporting.
- Minimum educational qualification as prescribed by LIC (typically completion of secondary education or higher) and willingness to complete LIC-mandated training and licensing requirements.
