Role Description The Life Advisor is responsible for identifying prospective customers, explaining Kotak Life’s insurance and protection solutions, and supporting clients in choosing suitable plans based on their financial goals and risk profile. Day-to-day activities include building and managing a portfolio of clients, conducting meetings and presentations, following up on leads, and maintaining accurate records of interactions and policies. The role also involves providing ongoing service to existing policyholders, assisting with queries, renewals, and claims-related guidance, while adhering to regulatory and company standards. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Defence Colony, with a mix of in-office meetings and limited work-from-home activities as business needs permit. The Life Advisor collaborates with the local team, participates in training sessions, and works towards defined sales and service targets.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing abilities, including relationship building, client servicing, and empathetic communication.
- Sales and business development skills, with the capacity to generate leads, convert prospects, and work towards defined targets.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills to explain financial and insurance concepts in clear, simple language.
- Basic financial literacy and the ability to understand and compare insurance products, protection plans, and long-term savings options.
- Comfort with hybrid work, including in-person client meetings in Defence Colony and some remote coordination and documentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Proficiency in common office productivity tools (email, spreadsheets, presentations) and willingness to learn internal systems.
- Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is an advantage.
- Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not mandatory.
