We are looking for an experienced React Lead to guide the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable front-end applications. This role combines strong hands-on engineering with technical leadership — you'll set front-end standards, mentor engineers, and partner closely with product and design to ship high-quality user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex, high-performance React applications
Architect and enforce state management strategy using Redux (including Redux Toolkit, middleware such as Redux-Saga/Redux-Thunk)
Own front-end technical decisions: component architecture, code structure, performance optimization, and scalability
Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards, testing practices, and CI/CD workflows for the front-end team
Mentor and guide mid-level and junior engineers; run technical design discussions and pairing sessions
Collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions
Drive adoption of modern front-end tooling and best practices (component libraries, design systems, testing frameworks)
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and rendering issues
Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted engineering tools where relevant to improve development velocity
Participate in technical planning, estimation, and sprint ceremonies
Required Qualifications
8+ years of professional front-end development experience, with a strong focus on React.js
Deep, hands-on expertise with Redux for state management (Redux Toolkit, middleware, selectors, normalization patterns)
Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
Proven experience architecting large-scale, component-based front-end applications
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous data flows
Experience with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite) and testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
Strong grasp of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization
Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a front-end engineering team
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with distributed/global teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Next.js or other React meta-frameworks
Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook)
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) in the SDLC
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including collaboration with distributed/global teams across US time zones (PST/CST/EST overlap)
