Role Description The Lead Planning Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Lucknow, responsible for overseeing project planning and scheduling for engineering construction projects in the oil and gas sector. This role involves developing and maintaining detailed project plans, coordinating with project managers and site teams, and monitoring progress against timelines and budgets. The Lead Planning Engineer will analyze project data, identify risks and variances, and recommend corrective actions to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery. Daily tasks include preparing progress reports, updating planning tools, supporting production planning activities, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. The role also includes contributing to continuous improvement of planning processes and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong project planning and production planning skills, with experience in developing and managing detailed schedules for engineering or construction projects.
- Robust analytical skills and project control capabilities to track performance, evaluate risks, and implement corrective measures.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients, and to present clear reports and updates.
- Proficiency with planning and scheduling software (such as Primavera, MS Project) and MS Office tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, or related field) or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Relevant experience in oil and gas, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects, preferably in a planning or project control role.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on-site in dynamic project environments.
- Knowledge of safety standards, quality management practices, and industry codes applicable to oil and gas and related facilities.
