Job Overview
We are looking for a Mid-Level L2 Application Support Engineer with 3–8 years of experience to join our Application Support team. The role focuses on supporting production .NET applications with multiple integrations, handling ServiceNow queues, creation reports and dashboards in ServiceNow, handling QA for the applications, writing & maintaining user manuals, resolving minor issues, and collaborating with L3 teams for advanced technical matters.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in L2 technical support, is comfortable working in a ticket-driven environment, and is available to support CET-aligned working hours (12:30 PM – 9:30 PM IST).
Responsibilities:
• Monitor the L2 support queue in ServiceNow during agreed CET-aligned support hours. Handle 2nd line support tickets — analyse, diagnose and resolve incidents and user-reported issues.
• Respond to incoming support tickets, including access requests, basic configuration tasks, minor application issues, and general user clarifications
• Work with tools such as ServiceNow (incident management and reporting) and Azure DevOps (task and test management).
• Perform initial analysis, triage, and problem identification to determine appropriate resolution paths
• Apply minor fixes or configuration-level corrections that do not require code-level changes
• Redirect or escalate tickets to appropriate ServiceNow queues (L1, L3, or other functional teams within the integrated application landscape) when required
• Support .NET-based applications with multiple system integrations in a production environment
• Collaborate closely with the Client’s L3 team for issues requiring code changes or new feature development
• Ensure accurate documentation, timely updates, and status communication within ServiceNow
• Provide simple reporting on ticket volumes, categories, priorities, and resolution status
QA & Documentation:
• Perform manual testing (functional, regression) for new features and bug fixes.
• Create and maintain test documentation: test cases, test scenarios and checklists.
• Prepare and update user manuals and supporting materials for end users.
• Collaborate with development teams to reproduce defects and verify fixes.
Required Qualifications
• Excellent experience in 2nd line support and manual testing.
• Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow (incident, problem management, reporting, dashboards).
• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps.
• Ability to create test cases and work with test management tools.
• Ability to analyse logs and perform basic application troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and web applications (HTTP, REST).
• Ability to produce clear and structured technical and user documentation.
• Willingness and ability to work in CET-aligned support hours (12:30 PM – 9:30 PM IST)
Nice to have
• Basic knowledge of test automation.
• Experience working with APIs (Postman, Swagger).
• Familiarity with cloud environments or distributed systems.
Expectaions from the candidate:
• You will be able to gain strong working knowledge of at least 2 out of 4 supported applications.
• You will be able to independently prepare test cases for a release and update the user manual covering introduced changes.
• You will be able to build a ServiceNow dashboard for monitoring and reporting incidents for the client.
