Role Description
Wevid Ventures Private Limited is looking for a Kitchen Supervisor – Corporate Catering to support day-to-day kitchen operations for corporate and premium catering assignments in Hyderabad.
The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for supporting food production, preparation, quality control, kitchen manpower coordination, packing and dispatch readiness.
The role is suitable for someone with 1–3 years of experience in catering, hotel kitchens, bulk food production, institutional catering or commercial kitchen operations who wants to grow into a larger kitchen operations role.
This is a hands-on role and requires the candidate to work closely with the Kitchen Operations Head, chefs, cooks, helpers and Execution team.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Production
- Support daily production planning based on confirmed catering orders.
- Assist in preparing item-wise production quantities.
- Coordinate mise-en-place and preparation activities.
- Supervise assigned kitchen activities during food production.
- Ensure food is prepared according to approved recipes and production requirements.
- Monitor production progress against required timelines.
- Support multiple food preparation activities running simultaneously.
Raw Material & Stock
- Check availability of required ingredients and kitchen materials.
- Report shortages to the Kitchen Operations Head.
- Support proper allocation and usage of raw materials.
- Monitor material consumption and avoid unnecessary wastage.
- Ensure ingredients are stored correctly.
Food Quality
- Check food during preparation for taste, texture, consistency and doneness.
- Ensure portion/grammage requirements are followed.
- Report quality issues immediately.
- Support final quality checks before food is packed.
- Ensure food is handled hygienically throughout production.
Packing & Dispatch
- Coordinate order-wise packing of prepared food.
- Ensure the correct food items and quantities are packed for each order.
- Check accompaniments, condiments and disposables where applicable.
- Support packing and dispatch activities according to the required timeline.
- Immediately report shortages, errors or potential dispatch delays.
Kitchen Team
- Coordinate daily activities of cooks, helpers and kitchen staff.
- Allocate tasks as instructed by the Kitchen Operations Head.
- Monitor attendance and work discipline.
- Ensure staff follow kitchen SOPs and hygiene standards.
- Support training of new kitchen team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Follow food safety and safe food-handling practices.
- Ensure proper storage of raw materials and prepared food.
- Follow waste-management and cleaning procedures.
- Support compliance with applicable food-safety requirements.
Kitchen Closing
- Ensure cleaning and closing activities are completed properly.
- Check that equipment and work areas are cleaned and safely stored.
- Ensure leftover materials and food are handled according to SOPs.
- Report equipment issues, wastage or other operational problems.

- Ability to coordinate with kitchen staff.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work according to strict production and dispatch timelines.
- Willingness to work in a hands-on kitchen environment.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays or extended hours when required by catering events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/certificate in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Food Production or a related field.
- Experience in corporate/institutional catering or banquet operations.
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine and bulk food preparation.
- Basic understanding of food portioning and production quantities.
- Knowledge of FSSAI and basic food-safety practices.
