Role Description: The Junior Materials Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Abhishek Industries’ facility in Chennai. This role involves supporting materials planning, coordinating with production and procurement teams, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials and components for abrasive manufacturing. The Junior Materials Manager will assist in monitoring stock levels, maintaining accurate inventory records, and helping optimize inventory turnover and storage practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking material usage, preparing reports for management, assisting in vendor coordination, and contributing to continuous improvement in materials and inventory processes. The role also requires adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards within the manufacturing environment.
Timings: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday to Saturday)
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess skills in Materials Management and Inventory Management to support production requirements and stock accuracy.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Control and Production Planning to align material availability with manufacturing schedules.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend improvements in material flow and inventory practices.
- Relevant academic background in supply chain, materials management, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and ERP or inventory management software is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are beneficial.
- Good communication and documentation skills, along with a willingness to learn and grow within a manufacturing environment, are expected.
