Company Description - Studio Redefine is an interior design studio based in Mumbai, focused on creating thoughtful, refined and highly functional spaces.
Our approach combines strong design thinking with attention to detail, materiality and execution. We work closely across every stage of a project, from concept development and space planning to detailed drawings, vendor coordination and site execution.
We are currently looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join our team at our Kandivali East, Mumbai studio.
Job Description - As a Junior Interior Designer, you will work across both the design and execution stages of interior projects, gaining hands-on exposure to the complete project process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing design concepts, space plans, moodboards and material palettes, while assisting with furniture, finishes and FF&E selections
- Preparing detailed AutoCAD working drawings and interior details required for project execution
- Supporting material sourcing, specifications and coordination with vendors and consultants
- Briefing and coordinating with external 3D visualisers, and reviewing renders for design accuracy, materials, proportions and detailing
- Attending site visits across Mumbai and assisting with execution, measurements, detailing and coordination with contractors, vendors and consultants
- Managing assigned tasks across multiple projects while maintaining design intent, accuracy, organisation and project timelines
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Kandivali East, Mumbai.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of professional experience in interior design. Freshers with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a closely related field
- Strong foundation in interior design and space planning, with the ability to translate concepts into practical and functional layouts
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, along with an understanding of construction drawings, interior detailing and technical documentation
- Good understanding of materials, finishes, furniture and FF&E, including selection, sourcing and specification
- Basic understanding of 3D visualisation and rendering workflows, with the ability to brief and review work produced by external visualisers
- Working knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace and presentation tools
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, vendors, consultants and external collaborators
- Proactive attitude, strong aesthetic judgement, openness to feedback and a willingness to learn across both design and site execution
