Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Junior Interior Designer role based in Mumbai, with flexibility for some work-from-home. The Junior Interior Designer will support the design team in developing concepts for residential and commercial projects, preparing mood boards, and assisting with client presentations. Daily responsibilities include contributing to space planning, helping produce construction and interior drawings, coordinating FF&E selections, and maintaining project documentation. The role involves site visits, measurements, and assisting in supervising on-site work to ensure designs are executed as planned. Collaboration with senior designers, vendors, and contractors is essential, along with clear communication to help translate client needs into functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Interior Design and Architecture, with the ability to support concept development and design detailing.
- Skills in Space Planning to create functional layouts for residential and commercial interiors.
- Ability to assist with Construction Drawings and technical documentation for on-site execution.
- Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic graphic tools (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign) is beneficial.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with willingness to learn and take feedback in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Comfort with site work in Mumbai, including vendor coordination and basic understanding of materials and finishes.
