Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in ABAP, ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), CDS, OData, and modern extension technologies on SAP BTP. The ideal candidate will develop scalable backend logic, clean-core compliant extensions for SAP S/4HANA, and intuitive front-end applications using Fiori/UI5.
Required Skills
Core Technical Skills
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in SAP development.
- Strong expertise in:
- ABAP / OO ABAP
- ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
- CDS Views & Annotations
- OData V2/V4
- Fiori/UI5 Development
- Fiori Elements
- S/4HANA Extensibility (In-App & Side-by-Side)
Preferred / Modern Skills
- Experience with BTP ABAP Environment.
- Knowledge of:
- SAP Build Work Zone
- SAP Build Process Automation
- Git-enabled CTS (gCTS) or Git-based source control
- CI/CD for ABAP Cloud or BTP
- SAP clean-core and cloud extensibility principles
- MDK and Mobile Dev Experience
- Understanding of event-driven architecture (Business Events / Event Mesh – optional).
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development – ABAP & RAP
- Develop and enhance applications using ABAP on SAP S/4HANA (On-Premise or Cloud).
- Build cloud-ready services using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
- Create CDS views, CDS-based business logic, and annotations for consumption in Fiori and OData services.
- Implement OData V2/V4 services using RAP or SEGW for legacy scenarios.
- Apply clean-core principles to ensure upgrade-safe extension development.
- Build custom logic using BAdIs, Business Events, Enhancement Framework, and key user extensions (In-App Extensibility).
Frontend & User Experience – Fiori/UI5
- Develop responsive SAP Fiori applications using:
- SAPUI5
- Fiori Elements
- UI5 Web Components
- Integrate UI apps with ABAP or RAP-based OData services.
- Collaborate with UX and functional teams to ensure adoption of SAP Fiori design guidelines.
BTP & Cloud Development
- Build and extend S/4HANA functionality using BTP services such as:
- SAP BTP ABAP Environment
- XSUAA (Authorization)
- Destination Service
- SAP Build Work Zone (for app integration)
- Develop workflows using SAP Build Process Automation (optional).
- Integrate ABAP systems with BTP via events, APIs, and RFC/OData communication.
General
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance across ABAP code, RAP models, and Fiori/UI layers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with functional, architecture, and DevOps teams.
- Follow agile methodology, DevOps practices, and enterprise coding standards.
