Job details:
Company Description: Bhavi Plast Pvt Ltd is a long-established provider of corrosion-resistant equipment for process plants across India and international markets. The company designs, builds, and commissions wet scrubbing systems, dust collection solutions, centrifugal blowers, and related ducting and exhaust systems to help clients meet emission standards. The company is registered and vetted by major engineering consultants, with equipment operating across India and in more than ten countries.
Role Description: We’re hiring a Junior Finance Controller who will independently run the finance
function of the company end-to-end. This is not a support role — you will be the finance function, reporting directly to the promoters, with full ownership of accounting, compliance, cash flow, banking, and investment decisions for the company’s surplus cash reserves. Ideal for a young CA who wants real ownership early in their career rather than being one of many in a large finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Reporting - Own the complete books of accounts —
day-to-day accounting, ledger scrutiny, month-end and year-end closing - Prepare
accurate MIS reports, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements for
management review - Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the
directors
Treasury & Investment Management - Manage the company’s cash flow and
working capital planning - Evaluate and manage investment of surplus cash
reserves (fixed deposits, mutual funds, or other instruments as directed) to
optimize returns while safeguarding capital - Maintain and manage banking
relationships, credit facilities, and fund-based/non-fund-based limits
Statutory Compliance & Taxation - Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS,
Income Tax, PF/ESIC, and other statutory requirements - Coordinate and manage
statutory, tax, internal, and external audits end-to-end - Handle ROC filings and
other Companies Act compliances (directly or via coordination with company
secretary/consultants)
Budgeting, Costing & Controls - Prepare annual budgets and track actuals vs.
budget - Support cost control and margin analysis for the manufacturing
operations - Control on-site (plant/factory) budgets and proactively identify and
plug leakages - Design and implement internal financial controls and approval
processes
Vendor, Payments & Working Capital - Manage accounts payable/receivable,
vendor payments, and collections - Monitor working capital cycle and flag risks
proactively
General - Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
as the primary finance point of contact - Bring process improvements and better
financial discipline to the organization as it scales
Qualifications:
● Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) — mandatory
● 2–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience, ideally including some exposure to a manufacturing/SME environment
● Strong hands-on knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and income tax compliance
● Comfortable evaluating and managing investment options for surplus funds
● Proficient in Tally and advanced Excel; comfortable building MIS from scratch
Attributes we care about most:
1. High ownership — treats company money and compliance like their own
responsibility, not a checklist
2. Ability to work independently — doesn’t need hand-holding; can be handed a
problem and be trusted to solve it end-to-end
3. Trustworthy and discreet — will have visibility into sensitive financial
data of a family-run business
4. Proactive, not reactive — flags risks and opportunities before being
asked
5. Strong communicator — able to explain financial matters clearly to non-finance
promoters/management
6. Comfortable being the only finance person initially — willing to build the
function rather than plug into an existing large team (whether this role will
have anyone reporting into it will be decided based on the selected
candidate’s experience and capability)
What We Offer:
● Direct reporting line to the promoters/directors — high visibility and influence
● Complete ownership of the finance function from an early career stage
● A long-term, stable role in a growing manufacturing business
