Key Responsibilities
- Run daily JIT ordering against live customer demand, keeping fill rate high and TAT low
- Manage pharma vendor, distributor and wholesaler relationships for supply, rates and fast processing
- Define and follow the purchase and return policy (expiry, damaged, short and wrong supply, credit notes, settlements)
- Own ordering SLAs from vendor order placement to pickup and dispatch
- Lead, train and review the JIT purchase team, including targets and shift planning
- Manage riders (allocation, availability, productivity, escalations)
- Plan and optimise routes between vendors, hubs and customers
- Prepare Excel and MIS reports on ordering, fill rate, SLA, vendors, returns and purchase cost
- Plan manpower and shifts, including peak demand
- Coordinate with inventory, customer support, quality and finance on stock-outs, substitutions and discrepancies
Skills Required
- Pharma vendor and distributor market knowledge
- JIT ordering, purchase cycles and return processes
- Excel (lookups, pivots, formulas) and MIS reporting
- Rider/last-mile management and route planning
- Negotiation, communication, problem-solving
- Quick decisions under pressure and tight SLAs
