Role Description The ITI SMD Soldering role is a full-time, hybrid position based in the Pune Division, with some flexibility for work from home depending on project requirements. The role involves performing precision SMD soldering on PCBs, assembling electronic components, and ensuring all boards meet quality and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include reading and understanding circuit diagrams, following work instructions, inspecting solder joints, and reworking defective components using appropriate tools and techniques. The individual will collaborate with engineers and production staff, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and adhere to all ESD and safety procedures. The role also includes basic testing, documenting work completed, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the production process.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess hands-on skills in SMD soldering, through-hole soldering, and PCB assembly.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading circuit diagrams, following technical drawings, and using standard electronic tools and measuring instruments.
- Candidates should possess skills in visual inspection, identifying soldering defects, and performing precise rework and repair.
- Candidates should possess skills in adhering to ESD and safety procedures, maintaining workstation cleanliness, and following production workflows.
- ITI qualification in Electronics or a related trade, or equivalent vocational training, is preferred.
- Prior experience in electronics manufacturing or PCB assembly environments is beneficial.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team, with reliable time management and task ownership.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new tools, processes, and quality standards.
