About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on IT professional to own our IT infrastructure, asset management, and end-to-end cybersecurity from the ground up. This is a builder role in a lean, founder-led team, and given the nature of our work, a strong security-first mindset is essential.
Key Responsibilities-
Asset & Systems Management
- Maintain inventory and lifecycle management of all hardware, software licenses, and SaaS tools (team procurement to decommissioning)
- Manage user provisioning/deprovisioning, SSO, and access across the tool stack (M365, GIT, HRMS, etc.)
- Provide day-to-day troubleshooting/support
- Manage IT budget, vendor contracts, and cost optimization
Cybersecurity
- Design and maintain the cybersecurity framework: endpoint security, EDR/antivirus, firewalls, VPN, and access control
- Monitor for threats/vulnerabilities; lead incident response and maintain an incident runbook
- Conduct periodic security audits and risk assessments
- Drive employee security awareness training (phishing, password hygiene, device security)
Infrastructure, Data & Continuity
- Manage network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, servers) and cloud platforms for uptime and reliability
- Own backup schedules, data retention/secure deletion policies, and periodic restore testing
- Maintain and test the disaster recovery / business continuity plan
- Manage documentation: SOPs, system configurations, security policies
Employee Lifecycle
- Own IT onboarding/offboarding (device setup, account creation, access revocation) and conduct IT inductions for new hires
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure IT practices align with applicable regulatory/contractual
- Support internal/external audits, and client/investor due diligence on IT security posture.
- Support future certification efforts (e.g., ISO 27001) as we scale
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 2-3 years in IT administration/infrastructure with relevant cybersecurity exposure
- Working knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, firewalls, access/identity management, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Strong ownership mindset, discretion, and integrity, comfortable building processes from scratch in a fast-moving startup.
