IoT and Automation Technical Support Engineer

The Opportunity
Join Renata AI as a Technical Support Engineer and get hands-on with real Industrial IoT, Vision AI, and Automation deployments at manufacturing plants across India. You'll install, configure, and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems, sensors, and IoT devices for customers in the automobile ancillary, pharma, and industrial sectors — building deep, practical expertise in one of the fastest-growing areas of technology.
What You'll Do
• Provide remote and onsite technical support for installed IoT and automation solutions
• Program and configure PLC/HMI systems (Siemens, Renu, Mitsubishi, and similar platforms)
• Develop and troubleshoot Node-RED flows for data integration and automation logic
• Install sensors on industrial machines and configure them into PLCs/HMI panels
• Install IoT devices, gateways, and manage related networking and connectivity setup
• Travel to customer sites across India for solution installation and commissioning
• Document installation procedures, troubleshooting steps, and customer-specific configurations
• Coordinate with the engineering team to resolve escalations and improve solution reliability
What Your Week Looks Like
• Mix of remote support calls, panel/PLC programming, and onsite customer visits
• Site visits for new installations, commissioning, and periodic maintenance checks
• Collaboration with the presales and engineering teams on solution configuration
• Documentation of completed work and updates on ticket/issue status
What You Bring
Must-Have:
• 1-2 years of experience in IT, Automation, or Instrumentation
• Working knowledge of PLC/HMI programming and industrial networking basics
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and basic programs/scripts
• Willingness to travel for onsite installations across India
• Customer-oriented approach with good communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies (IIoT, AI/ML, Automation)
Education:
• Diploma or Engineering Graduate in Computers, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, or Mechanical Engineering
