They were founded in 2021 by Arvind Kalyan Vemana, a CFA charterholder and FRM with degrees from IIT Madras and IIM Lucknow. They deliver institutional grade transaction advisory, equity research, and capital markets services to private equity sponsors, family offices, founders, and institutional investors across India and globally. Role Description This is not a support role, and it is not a single sector seat. In a boutique that does real estate, growth stage, funds, M&A, and equity research, you will move between very different kinds of work, often in the same week. In a given month you might:
• Build project finance and underwriting models for real estate deals, residential and commercial, with debt and equity structuring, returns, and RERA aware assumptions, and turn them into lender and investor presentations. This is our largest area, so expect a lot of it.
• Build integrated financial models for growth stage companies, including revenue builds, three statement models, unit economics, burn and runway, and simple valuations.
• Produce investor materials from a blank page: pitch decks, teasers, information memoranda, CIMs, one pagers, and investment committee summaries.
• Run valuation work using DCF, comparables, and precedent transactions, and support fund placement and M&A processes through to close.
• Contribute to Kedge equity research: blue book style company analysis, earnings updates, and sector work on Indian listed mid and small cap names.
• Present to investors yourself, handle your own client communication, and pick up unfamiliar sectors quickly through your own research and judgement
Qualifications
- • Roughly 2 to 8 years in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, equity research, real estate or project finance, or a strong corporate finance or modelling seat. The level we offer, Senior Associate or AVP, depends on what you bring.
- • Genuine fluency in financial modelling. You can build a clean model in Excel without a template, link the numbers to a real understanding of the business or the asset, and explain every line.
- • Real flexibility. You are comfortable moving between real estate, growth stage, funds, and equity research, and you treat unfamiliar work as normal rather than a problem. The work is varied, and it is always meant to be high quality.
- • Strong deck building, writing, and spoken communication. You can turn a messy brief into a clear investor story, and present it and defend it yourself.
- • A working comfort with public company analysis and equity research, enough to hold and defend a view on a listed company. • Independence. You can take an ambiguous task and a deadline, with no one free to help, and still deliver something sensible and on time.
- • The basics that matter to us most: smart, hardworking, sincere, professional, and genuinely hungry to learn and grow up the ladder.
- Helps you stand out
- • CFA or FRM, completed or in progress.
- • Direct real estate or project finance experience, given how much of our work sits there.
- Work samples, a model, a deck, a research note, or a recorded pitch, that you built yourself and can talk through in detail.
