Role Description The Internal Audit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Borivali. The individual will plan, execute, and oversee internal audits across financial and operational processes to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices. Day-to-day tasks include assessing internal controls, reviewing accounting records, performing financial audits, identifying control gaps, and recommending practical, sustainable improvements. The role involves preparing audit reports, presenting findings to the proprietor, and following up on remediation plans to ensure timely implementation. The Internal Audit Manager will collaborate with finance and operations teams, support risk assessments, and contribute to the development of audit methodologies and documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, evaluate processes, and identify risks and control weaknesses.
- Solid foundation in finance and accounting, with experience applying these skills in audits or financial reviews.
- Hands-on experience with internal controls, including designing, testing, and monitoring control frameworks.
- Proven ability to perform and manage financial audits, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CIA) are an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and objectively to leadership.
- High level of integrity, independence, and attention to detail, with a strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Ability to work on-site in Borivali, manage multiple assignments, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
