About the Role
We are looking for a QA Tester Intern who is detail-oriented, curious, and interested in building a career in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of software testing concepts and should preferably have gained practical exposure through a college project, academic project, personal project, or previous internship involving software or web application testing.
This is a hands-on internship where the candidate will work closely with developers and other team members to test applications, identify bugs, and help ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Test web applications, software products, and new features.
- Understand product requirements and convert them into test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, usability, and cross-browser testing.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs and software issues.
- Re-test reported issues after fixes and verify that they have been resolved.
- Work closely with developers to understand, communicate, and resolve defects.
- Test applications across different browsers, devices, and environments.
- Maintain test cases, test results, and bug reports.
- Participate in software release and quality-check processes.
- Assist in identifying potential edge cases and scenarios that could impact the user experience.
- Follow QA processes and contribute ideas to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Knowledge of different types of testing, including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and Usability Testing.
- Ability to write clear and structured test cases and test scenarios.
- Basic knowledge of bug/defect reporting and tracking.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, Bugzilla, or similar bug-tracking tools is a plus.
