Role Description The Intern–Content Writer role is a full-time, remote/onsite position based in Kolkata. The intern will support the creation of clear, accurate, and engaging content related to life sciences, bioinformatics, and research services for web pages, blogs, articles, and marketing materials. Day-to-day tasks include conducting background research, drafting and revising content, proofreading documents, and assisting in structuring information for different digital platforms. The intern will collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical concepts into accessible language and help maintain consistent tone, style, and branding across all written materials. The role may also involve updating existing content, preparing training materials, and contributing ideas to enhance Bencos’ online presence and knowledge resources.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Writing and Web Content Writing skills for creating clear, structured, and reader-friendly content.
- Candidates should possess Research skills to gather, analyze, and summarize scientific and technical information accurately.
- Candidates should possess Content Strategy skills to help organize topics, support editorial planning, and align content with organizational goals.
- Candidates should possess Proofreading skills to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all written materials.
- Strong command of English, with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts in simple terms.
- Interest or academic background in life sciences, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields is highly beneficial.
- Basic familiarity with digital platforms (websites, blogs, social media) and an understanding of audience-centric communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Kolkata, West Bengal manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a research-driven environment.
- Bachelor's or master's Degree in any field of Life Sciences is a plus.
