Role Description The Interior Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed 2D drawings, layouts, and working drawings for interior design projects. Day-to-day tasks include translating design concepts into technical drawings, coordinating with designers and architects, updating drawings based on feedback, and ensuring accuracy in measurements and specifications. The role also involves preparing furniture, lighting, and material layouts, maintaining drawing documentation, and supporting site teams with clear construction details. This is a full-time, in office role located in New Delhi, requiring close collaboration with the design team and regular interaction with project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) for interior layouts and detailed drawings.
- Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and basic architectural detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, sections, elevations, and technical specifications.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and strong organizational skills for managing multiple drawings and revisions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with designers, architects, contractors, and vendors.
- Relevant qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, or Drafting from a recognized institute.
- Prior experience in an interior or architectural design practice is preferred, especially with residential or commercial projects.
- Willingness to work in the office in New Delhi and visit project sites as required.
