🏢 Position Title : Interior Designer / CAD Operator
📍 Department : Design & Technical Operations
👤 Reporting To : Design Manager / Project Manager / Operations Head
🧾 Job Summary :
The Interior Designer / CAD Operator is responsible for creating functional, aesthetically appealing, and technically accurate interior layouts and furniture designs for residential, commercial, and modular furniture projects. The role involves preparing detailed 2D drawings, 3D visualizations, production drawings, and coordinating with production and project execution teams to ensure smooth implementation.
The candidate should possess strong design creativity along with technical expertise in CAD software and modular furniture detailing.
🔧 Key Responsibilities :
Interior Design & Space Planning
Develop creative interior concepts and space planning solutions
Understand client requirements, preferences, and project specifications
Prepare furniture layouts, modular kitchen designs, wardrobe designs, and interior concepts
Select suitable materials, finishes, colors, and hardware solutions
Ensure designs are practical, functional, and production-friendly.
CAD Drafting & Technical Drawings :
Prepare detailed 2D working drawings and technical production drawings
Create shop drawings for modular furniture manufacturing and site execution
Develop detailed measurements, cutting lists, and installation drawings
Modify drawings based on site conditions and client revisions
Coordinate drawings with production and installation teams.
3D Visualization & Design Presentation :
Prepare 3D models and renderings for client presentations
Generate realistic visualizations using design software
Assist sales and project teams with presentation materials and design proposals.
Coordination & Execution Support :
Coordinate with factory operations, project execution teams, and vendors
Conduct site visits and measurements when required
Ensure designs align with manufacturing capabilities and installation requirements
Resolve design-related technical issues during production and installation.
🎯 Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
🛠 Required Skills :
Proficiency in:
AutoCAD
SketchUp
3ds Max
V-Ray / Lumion (preferred)
MS Office
Strong knowledge of modular furniture detailing and interior materials
Good understanding of space planning and ergonomics
Ability to prepare technical and production drawings
Strong visualization and creative thinking skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in drawings
Good communication and coordination abilities.

💼 Experience Required :
1–5 years of experience in interior design or CAD drafting
Experience in modular furniture or interior fit-out industry preferred.
