Role Description The Interior Designer will work full time on-site at OutlierStudio’s New Delhi location, contributing to the design and delivery of residential and commercial interiors. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, space plans, and mood boards; preparing detailed drawings and presentations; and selecting materials, finishes, and FF&E in line with project requirements and the studio’s design ethos. The role involves coordinating with architects, contractors, and craftspeople to ensure accurate implementation of design intent and adherence to project timelines and budgets. The Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, gather brief requirements, present design solutions, and incorporate feedback throughout the design and execution phases. The position also requires staying updated on industry trends, sustainable practices, and innovative materials to enhance design quality and client experience.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate client needs into functional, aesthetic layouts.
- Understanding of Architecture and integration of interior concepts within broader architectural frameworks.
- Proficiency in preparing Construction Drawings and detailed documentation for on-site execution.
- Experience with FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories aligned with project concepts and budgets.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and presentation tools.
- Strong visualization, color, and material sense, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving client and project needs.
- Prior experience in residential and/or commercial interior projects in an on-site or studio environment is preferred.
