Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Bengaluru South. The Interior Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing design solutions for commercial, residential, and hospitality projects, aligned with client requirements, brand guidelines, and Krayons’ design standards. Daily tasks include preparing space plans, mood boards, material and color palettes, and detailed drawings, as well as coordinating with project managers, MEP teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure design intent is accurately executed. The role involves conducting site visits, taking measurements, monitoring work progress, and addressing design-related issues to support timely project delivery. The Interior Designer will also participate in client presentations, cost and material estimations, and support sustainable, safe, and compliant design practices throughout each project.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong interior design and space planning skills, including concept development, layout design, and 2D/3D visualization.
- Candidates should possess technical design skills, such as proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and the ability to create detailed drawings and documentation.
- Candidates should possess material, finishes, and MEP coordination skills, with understanding of lighting, HVAC, electrical layouts, and integration of services within interior designs.
- Candidates should possess project coordination and time management skills, including the ability to work with cross-functional teams, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Candidates should possess communication and client-facing skills, including the ability to present design concepts, collaborate with stakeholders, and respond to feedback constructively.
- A diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant experience in commercial or turnkey fit-out projects.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices, safety and quality standards, and familiarity with ISO-based processes will be an added advantage.
