Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Jaipur. The Interior Designer will collaborate with project teams to develop design concepts, plan functional layouts, and create cohesive interiors aligned with ELM Livings’ design standards and sustainability goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, selecting finishes and materials, preparing mood boards, coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and producing detailed drawings and documentation for implementation. The role involves working closely with architects, contractors, and vendors, conducting site visits, reviewing construction progress, and ensuring that design intent, quality, and timelines are maintained. The Interior Designer will also participate in client presentations, incorporate feedback into design revisions, and support project coordination from concept through completion.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills to create functional, aesthetically cohesive residential environments.
- Candidates should possess Architecture and Construction Drawings skills to translate concepts into precise, buildable documentation.
- Candidates should possess FF&E expertise, including selection, specification, and coordination of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Proficiency with design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and presentation tools (PowerPoint, InDesign) is beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, along with prior experience in residential or mixed-use projects, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams are important.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles, local building codes, and material sourcing practices will be an advantage.
