Role Description The Interior Design Intern will support the design team in day-to-day project activities, including assisting with space planning, preparing mood boards, and contributing to design presentations. Responsibilities include helping with material, furniture, and FF&E selections, organizing samples, and updating project documentation and layouts under guidance from senior designers. The intern will participate in site visits, measurements, and coordination with vendors to ensure design concepts are accurately implemented. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune, requiring regular collaboration with the team and clients. The position offers hands-on experience across residential and commercial projects, with opportunities to learn about the full design process from concept to installation.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design and an understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
- Candidates should possess skills in Space Planning to support efficient and functional layouts.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Furniture and FF&E to assist with selection, specification, and coordination of design elements.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to collaborate with team members, vendors, and clients.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree or diploma program in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools) is beneficial.
- Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are important.
- Interest in sustainable design practices and willingness to learn from senior designers will be an advantage.
