ABOUT THE ROLE
F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to support U.S. healthcare practices as part of their revenue cycle operations.
A large part of your day will be spent on live calls with U.S. insurance companies — verifying patient eligibility and benefits, confirming deductibles, copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket limits, network status, and other coverage details.
You’ll document verification results accurately, maintain patient insurance information in the practice-management or EHR system, and identify discrepancies before they turn into claim denials or payment delays.
This is a full-time, remote role for candidates based in India, working U.S. business hours.
IMPORTANT: This role requires hands-on U.S. healthcare experience. We’re looking for candidates with at least 2 years of experience in U.S. medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare revenue cycle management. You must also be comfortable making outbound calls to U.S. insurance payer representatives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Make outbound calls to U.S. insurance companies to verify patient eligibility and benefits
• Navigate payer IVR systems and speak directly with payer representatives
• Confirm and document deductibles, copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket limits, plan type, and network status
• Identify prior-authorization or referral requirements when applicable
• Record payer reference numbers and document every verification accurately
• Collect and verify insurance information before appointments or services
• Enter and maintain patient demographic and insurance data in athenahealth or similar systems
• Identify discrepancies that could lead to claim denials or delays
• Follow up on unresolved insurance issues until they are clarified
• Maintain accurate documentation while handling confidential patient information
• Meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in U.S. medical billing, insurance verification, or U.S. healthcare RCM
• Experience making outbound calls to U.S. insurance companies
• Strong insurance eligibility and benefits-verification experience
• Working knowledge of U.S. healthcare revenue cycle management
• Understanding of deductibles, copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums, network status, and related insurance terminology
• Experience entering patient and insurance information into athenahealth, an EHR/EMR, or a practice-management system
• Strong spoken English for live conversations with U.S. payer representatives
• Strong written English and documentation skills
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to work independently and follow issues through to resolution
• Availability to work U.S. business hours
