We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day IT infrastructure and datacenter operations in a complex, multi-vendor environment. The role will be responsible for ensuring high availability, operational stability, security, compliance, and continuous improvement across data center, network, compute, storage, cloud, backup, service desk, and related IT operations.

Shift: Rotational — preferred shift is 2:00 PM–11:00 PM IST; depending on project requirements, the shift is 8:30 PM–5:30 AM IST.
This is a hands-on leadership position, with approximately 75% technical/operational involvement and 25% management, planning, and coordination. The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, Microsoft technologies, security operations, service management, and vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations across the data center, network, security, compute, storage, backup/DR, batch processing, monitoring, software deployments, printing services, and Service Desk operations.
- Ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and stability of critical IT infrastructure and services.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the deployment, maintenance, and operation of hardware and infrastructure across multiple technology vendors.
- Monitor infrastructure utilization and performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and productivity.
- Oversee data center facilities, including power, HVAC, equipment placement, physical access, safety, and security.
- Ensure production batch processing schedules are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with business and IT stakeholders regarding processing priorities, reporting requirements, deadlines, operational documentation, and end-user requirements.
- Assess the impact of new or changing business requirements on existing infrastructure, staffing, and technology.
- Lead and develop the technical operations team, including training, performance management, resource planning, and capability development.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve IT operations procedures, standards, documentation, and runbooks.
- Ensure appropriate change control processes are followed for infrastructure implementations, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
- Manage incident response and ensure timely resolution of critical infrastructure and service issues.
- Drive improvements across people, processes, and technology to create a more efficient, reliable, and cost-effective operating environment.
- Manage IT office and warehouse infrastructure operations where required.
- Maintain appropriate security, data protection, audit, compliance, and service availability standards.
- Manage external technology vendors, service providers, and operational partners.
- Support infrastructure audits, security assessments, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
- Prepare operational reports, SLA reports, performance metrics, and management updates.
Technical Responsibilities
The role requires strong hands-on experience across enterprise infrastructure and operations, including:
- Cloud: Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Private Cloud environments.
- Microsoft Technologies: Microsoft 365, Office 365 administration and migration, Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, and Purview.
- Virtualization: Hyper-V and VMware.
- Infrastructure: Server, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and data center administration.
- Network & Security: Firewall administration, network operations, security controls, vulnerability management, and security assessments.
- Service Management: Incident management, Service Desk operations, SLA management, RMM processes, NOC operations, and operational reporting.
- Identity & Access: Identity and Access Management (IAM), access controls, and security governance.
- Endpoint & Security Tools: Experience with enterprise security and monitoring platforms; exposure to CrowdStrike and Microsoft security solutions is desirable.
- Patch Management: Planning and execution of infrastructure and system patching activities.
- Migration: Experience managing on-premises to Microsoft 365/Office 365 migrations.
- Documentation: Ability to develop detailed technical documentation, operational procedures, reports, and runbooks.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, technical operations, data center operations, or a related environment.
- Strong experience managing enterprise data center and infrastructure operations.
- Experience leading teams in a multi-shift and/or multi-vendor operational environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with server, virtualization, storage, backup, network, and security infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing Microsoft 365/Office 365 environments.
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS, including enterprise cloud operations.
- Experience managing firewalls and security infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of incident management, threat management, risk assessment, and security controls.
- Experience with Service Desk operations, SLA management, RMM processes, and NOC operations.
- Experience with vendor management and third-party service providers.
- Strong people management and leadership capabilities.
- Experience with security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and infrastructure compliance.
- Current/relevant Microsoft infrastructure certification such as MCSE is preferred/required as applicable.
- Cloud certification in Azure or AWS is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- ITIL knowledge and/or certification.
- ITIL V3 certification.

- Experience with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, and CrowdStrike.
