Job Description
Job Summary
The IDQ Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade Data Quality solutions using Informatica Data Quality. The role requires strong hands-on experience in data profiling, rule profiling, data domain discovery, exception management, matching, scorecarding, and integration with data governance and data catalog platforms.
The ideal candidate should have proven Data Quality consulting experience, strong implementation expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders throughout the complete Data Quality lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of Data Quality solutions using Informatica Data Quality.
- Perform data profiling, data discovery, rule profiling, and data domain discovery to identify quality gaps, patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate business and technical requirements into Data Quality rules, mappings, scorecards, workflows, and exception management processes.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards, Data Governance teams, and technology teams to define Critical Data Elements and Data Quality expectations.
- Design and implement reusable Data Quality rules, transformations, mappings, workflows, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Develop Data Quality scorecards to provide visibility into the health of Critical Data Elements and business processes.
- Support Data Quality issue identification, root cause analysis, remediation planning, exception management, and operational monitoring.
- Provide technical leadership to the Data Quality team and ensure delivery quality, standards adherence, and timely completion of assigned work.
- Prepare technical design documents, rule specifications, profiling reports, scorecard documentation, and implementation guides.
- Support deployment, patching, bug fixes, production stabilization, and performance tuning with minimal business disruption.
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate Data Quality developers, analysts, data stewards, and business SMEs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of overall experience in Data Quality, Data Management, Data Governance, or related data consulting roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
- Strong experience with Informatica Developer and Informatica Analyst.
- Must have completed at least 3–4 successful enterprise Data Quality implementations.
- Strong experience in data profiling, including:
-Column profiling
-Pattern analysis
-Value frequency analysis
-Null analysis
-Duplicate analysis
-Outlier identification
-Data structure validation
- Strong experience in Data Domain Discovery and Rule Profiling.
- Experience with Data Quality transformations including standardization, cleansing, parsing, labeling, validation, address validation, matching, consolidation, and enrichment.
- Strong experience in Data Quality Exception Management.
- Strong experience with exact matching, fuzzy matching, survivorship logic, duplicate detection, and record consolidation.
- Experience translating business and technical requirements into Data Quality rules and controls.
- Experience working with Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and Data Quality scorecards.
- Strong understanding of Data Quality dimensions including completeness, accuracy, validity, consistency, uniqueness, timeliness, conformity, and integrity.
- Experience with large-scale Data Quality implementations involving complex source systems, high-volume datasets, multiple domains, and enterprise-level reporting.
- Strong consulting experience covering requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, solution design, implementation, and post-go-live support.
- Excellent communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading a Data Quality team across development, analysis, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Experience working with enterprise Data Governance tools, Data Catalog platforms, metadata repositories, or stewardship workflows.
- Experience with Informatica platform administration, environment management, deployment activities, and monitoring.
- Experience applying patches, upgrades, hotfixes, and bug fixes in production environments.
- Experience integrating Data Quality with Data Governance, metadata management, Data Catalog, lineage, and stewardship platforms.
- Understanding of DAMA-aligned Data Quality management practices and enterprise data management principles.
- Experience working on large-scale Data Quality projects involving multiple domains, systems, business units, and integration touchpoints.

- Knowledge of industry Data Quality frameworks.
- Understanding of DAMA practices.
