Role Description The Import Export Specialist is a full-time, on-site role located in Rajkot. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day export and import operations, including documentation, coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The specialist will prepare and review shipping documents, monitor shipment status, and resolve logistics or customs-related issues. The role involves supporting training activities with practical insights, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize trade processes and timelines. The Import Export Specialist is expected to stay updated on changing trade policies, tariffs, and customs procedures to minimize risk and ensure efficient cross-border transactions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of export procedures, import regulations, and end-to-end import export operations.
- Practical experience or training in international trade, including documentation, trade compliance, and global logistics.
- Familiarity with customs brokerage processes and working with customs agents, freight forwarders, and related authorities.
- Ability to interpret trade regulations, Incoterms, tariffs, and related international trade documentation.
- Relevant diploma or degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field; specialized export-import training is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency with MS Office and basic ERP or logistics management systems; familiarity with e-commerce platforms is a plus.
