Description
We're hiring an Implementation Specialist to do the hands-on technical work that makes a Fulfil launch succeed: configuring the merchant's workspace, migrating their data, connecting their channels and integrations, testing everything, and getting it all correct before go-live.
Unlike legacy ERPs, a Fulfil implementation is mostly configuration of our standard platform, not a months-long custom development project. That means the craft here is speed and precision. You work to a solution designed by the Implementation Consultant and a project plan run by the Engagement Manager, and you turn that design into a working, validated system the merchant can operate on day one.
You are the person whose attention to detail and critical thinking determine whether the data is clean, the workflows and integrations perform as expected, even in edge cases. When the launch goes smoothly, it is largely because you did this part right.
What we're looking for: At least your last 2 to 4 years should be in implementation work, not a single project from earlier in your career. 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing ERP/SaaS systems for clients, configuring workspaces, migrating data, and taking a system live end-to-end. This includes Product Managers or Project/Program Managers who've owned end-to-end implementation delivery.
What this isn't: This isn't a post-go-live customer support or customer success role. If your experience is primarily helping merchants after their system is already live tickets, troubleshooting, account management- rather than building and launching it, this won't be the right fit.
Requirements
Who You Are
- 2 to 5 years in ERP or SaaS implementation, data migration, technical support, or a configuration-heavy operations role.
- Data migration or ETL fundamentals and a data-quality QA mindset.
- Basic API and integration literacy.
- Detail-oriented testing discipline and clear technical writing.
- Strong written English and willingness to keep a standing overlap with US/Eastern working hours.
What You'll Do
Configure the merchant's Fulfil workspace
- Configure the workspace according to the Implementation Consultant’s design: channels, automations, print templates, batch rules, and the day-to-day settings the merchant will operate on.
- Stand up the basics that don't depend on discovery early (a Shopify channel, for example) so the project keeps moving while discovery finishes.
- Join the merchant calls for your workstream during your overlap hours.
Own data migration end to end
- Run the migration: extraction, mapping, and successive import cycles, following the Implementation Consultant’s strategy.
- Run the validation gates and produce the data readiness score, correcting errors early
- Set up the baseline accounting configuration
- Support internal migration testing.
Connect and validate integrations
- Configure and validate channel and marketplace integrations against real data, not just a happy-path test.
- Prove every integration with at least one real end-to-end exchange before you call it done.
Document, train, and support the launch
- Generate and verify merchant-specific SOPs based on the configuration.
- Deliver remote training on the workflows you configured.
- Support cutover and launch week remotely.
- Run post-launch support to help the merchant stabilize before
How We Use AI
Implementation Specialists are expected to use AI as a force multiplier, not a crutch. You will:
- Use Fulfil's internal AI tools to accelerate configuration and pull patterns from similar past implementations.
- Use AI to map and clean source data for migration and to flag data-quality issues early.
- Use AI to generate merchant-specific SOPs from the actual configuration and to draft test cases.
- Feed learnings back into shared templates so the next implementation goes faster.
Bonus Points
Apply If You
- Have prior ERP or WMS implementation experience.
- Have heavy Excel and CSV data-manipulation chops (formulas, cleanup, large files).
- Have worked with Shopify, Amazon, or EDI.
- Have foundational accounting knowledge (chart of accounts, AP/AR, bank reconciliation).
You Shouldn't Apply If
- You expect to be handed clean data and finished requirements.
- You treat data migration as copy+paste rather than a validation problem.
- You cut corners on testing when a deadline is close.
- You would rather move to the next task than confirm the last one actually works.
- You need step-by-step instructions and are uncomfortable owning the quality of your own work.
This role rewards precision, curiosity, and ownership of quality.
About Fulfil
Fulfil is the modern ERP for commerce. Built to power the fastest-growing eCommerce brands, our platform brings together order management, inventory, accounting, and more, turning complex operations into a strategic advantage.
We're trusted by brands like HexClad, Ridge Wallet, Caraway, and Resident, and backed by people who want to change the way merchant operations are run. We believe in deep work, radical accountability, and building tools that let sharp people move faster.
What It's Really Like to Work at Fulfil
We're building the ERP that fast-growing eCommerce brands actually want to use, which means we're taking on entrenched enterprise software with a small, intense team.
Big Tech and VC-backed startups are 400-horsepower engines running at 25% efficiency. They have bloated teams, endless meetings, six months to ship a feature. At Fulfil, we're a 200-horsepower engine running at 100%. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and growing steadily. No permission layers. No "alignment meetings" about alignment meetings. Everyone ships every day.
The work: You'll own meaningful problems with direct customer impact. Our customers run 24/7 operations across time zones, and when they're launching on BFCM or scaling from $10M to $100M, they need us to move fast. That urgency flows downstream. This is high-intensity work with real consequences.
What high-intensity actually means:
- Most weeks are 45 to 55 hours; peak seasons (BFCM, major launches) hit 60+.
- Occasional off-hours calls with our distributed team or for customer launches.
- Long days (10+ hours) aren't uncommon.
- The work doesn't pause even if we try to protect your focus time.
What you get in return:
- Real autonomy over execution (we measure impact, not facetime).
- Ownership of problems that matter to real businesses.
- Unlimited PTO we actually want you to use (we'd rather you rest than burn out).
- If you've ever felt capable of 10x more than your current environment allows, that gap between your potential and your actual impact is exactly what Fulfil eliminates.
You'll thrive here if you get energy from doing precise work that matters, want ownership over outcomes rather than tasks, are open to regular and direct feedback in public Slack channels, and like moving fast without red tape.
This isn't for you if you need a strict 40-hour boundary, prefer structured oversight, or want work to be a contained part of your life.
