About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced HR Operations & US Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This is a fully remote opportunity for a professional who has hands-on experience managing HR operations and processing US payroll while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently during US business hours and collaborating with employees and internal teams across locations.
Key Responsibilities :
HR Operations :
Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, documentation, transfers, and offboarding.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS.
Coordinate employee documentation and HR-related processes.
Support benefits administration and respond to employee HR queries.
Ensure HR processes are completed accurately and within defined timelines.
US Payroll :
Manage and process payroll for US-based employees accurately and on time.
Review payroll inputs, deductions, reimbursements, benefits, and other payroll components.
Ensure payroll processing complies with applicable US federal, state, and local regulations.
Coordinate with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues.
Reconcile payroll data and identify discrepancies before payroll completion.
Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
Compliance & Reporting :
Maintain accurate HR and payroll records and documentation.
Prepare regular HR and payroll reports for management.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Stay updated on changes in US payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance practices.
Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information.
Employee Support :
Respond promptly and professionally to employee questions related to payroll, benefits, HR policies, and documentation.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee concerns.
Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution of HR and payroll issues.
Process Improvement :
Identify opportunities to improve HR and payroll processes.
Help streamline workflows, documentation, and reporting.
Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in HR operations and US payroll.
Strong practical knowledge of US payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Experience working with HRIS and payroll software.
Good understanding of payroll calculations, deductions, benefits, and reporting.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Willingness to work US business hours.
