Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Hostess role located at Villa Maya in Trivandrum. The Hostess is responsible for warmly greeting guests on arrival, managing reservations and walk-ins, and coordinating seating to ensure smooth table turnover and an exceptional guest flow. Daily tasks include answering phone inquiries, confirming bookings, maintaining an accurate waitlist, and liaising with the serving staff and management to support service. The role also involves providing clear information about the menu and restaurant policies, anticipating guest needs, and resolving minor concerns promptly and courteously. The Hostess helps maintain a polished reception area and contributes to the overall atmosphere of professional, refined hospitality.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to create a welcoming and respectful environment for all guests.
- Candidates should possess Communication and Phone Etiquette skills to handle inquiries, provide information, and manage guest interactions professionally.
- Candidates should possess Reservations management skills to organize bookings, coordinate seating, and maintain accurate guest records.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous during busy periods and handle guest requests efficiently.
- Attention to detail, professional appearance, and a commitment to high standards of hospitality.
- Prior experience in front-of-house or guest-facing roles in restaurants or hotels is an advantage.
- Basic computer or reservation system literacy and comfort working with scheduling tools.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
