Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based at VHA Biopharma Private Limited’s facility in Roorkee, with one vacancy available. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and wiring within the pharma plant. Daily tasks include troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring safe and continuous operation of machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting production teams by minimizing equipment downtime. The role involves working with electrical panels, motors, controls, and lighting systems, while following safety standards and regulatory requirements. The position offers a salary range of ₹18,000–₹35,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience, with pharma plant experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in electrical principles, including practical knowledge of electricity and basic electrical engineering concepts.
- Hands-on experience in electrical work such as installation, wiring, and operation of electrical systems in industrial settings.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, including preventive maintenance practices for plant machinery.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently, with solid troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing or pharma environment.
- ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical plant or similar regulated industrial facility.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Good communication skills, teamwork orientation, and readiness to work in shifts when required.
