Role Description The Hindi Writer will craft original scripts, dialogues, and narrative concepts for film and related media in clear and compelling Hindi. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing storylines, collaborating with directors and producers, revising drafts based on feedback, and ensuring that character arcs and plot structures align with project objectives. The role also involves adapting content for different formats, maintaining consistency of tone and style, and conducting cultural and linguistic checks to keep scripts authentic and engaging. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Amritsar, requiring close coordination with creative teams and production staff.
Qualifications
- Strong command of written and spoken Hindi, with the ability to write engaging, culturally nuanced dialogues and narratives.
- Proven experience in scriptwriting, creative writing, or storytelling for film, television, theatre, or digital content.
- Ability to collaborate with directors, producers, and other writers, and to incorporate feedback while maintaining narrative integrity.
- Solid understanding of Indian culture, Bollywood cinema, and audience preferences across different regions and age groups.
- Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, structure, and continuity across scenes and projects.
- Capability to work on-site in Amritsar and manage deadlines in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Film Studies, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with story outlining, character development, and basic screenplay formatting tools is an advantage.
