Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Manager role based in Chennai. The HVAC Manager will oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of HVAC systems across assigned properties, ensuring optimal environmental comfort, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with plumbing and other building services teams, and managing service contractors and vendors. The role involves responding to tenant and client service requests, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to enhance reliability and customer satisfaction. The HVAC Manager will also support budgeting and cost control for building services, maintain documentation and service records, and collaborate with property management and sales teams to support client retention and business growth.
Qualifications
- Technical building services skills, including strong knowledge of HVAC systems and basic plumbing, with the ability to manage maintenance and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Client-focused competencies, such as customer service and customer satisfaction skills, to effectively address occupant needs and maintain high service standards.
- Commercial awareness, including exposure to sales or service-oriented environments, to support property teams in presenting and maintaining high-quality facilities.
- Previous experience in facilities management, property management, or building engineering, ideally in commercial or mixed-use properties.
- Relevant technical qualification or diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Ability to lead and coordinate on-site teams and vendors, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, energy management practices, and compliance standards related to HVAC and building services.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
