Role Description This full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician role is based in Angul and focuses on service and maintenance of industrial HVAC systems, particularly crane air conditioning and associated cooling equipment. The technician will perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on installed systems, ensuring reliable performance in high-temperature industrial environments. Daily responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance, responding to service calls, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and replacing or calibrating components as required. The role also involves maintaining accurate service records, coordinating with project and operations teams, and following safety and environmental compliance standards. The technician will interact with client representatives on-site to explain work performed, provide recommendations, and support high customer satisfaction through responsive and professional service.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues in industrial HVAC systems.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance & repair and preventive maintenance of heating and air conditioning equipment.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations; EPA or equivalent environmental compliance understanding or certification is an advantage.
- Focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and provide service updates and recommendations.
- Technical diploma, trade certification, or vocational training in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Experience working in heavy industrial settings (e.g., steel plants, smelters, mining, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical drawings, service manuals, and schematics; familiarity with diagnostic tools and measurement instruments.
- Willingness to work on-site in demanding conditions, follow safety protocols, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
