Role Description The Health Insurance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role involves advising students, staff, and patients on health insurance coverage options, eligibility, and benefits, and helping them understand policy terms and claim procedures. The specialist will coordinate with insurance providers to process claims, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely reimbursement, while maintaining accurate records and documentation. Daily responsibilities include responding to inquiries, handling customer service issues, supporting enrollment in health insurance plans, and collaborating with administrative and clinical teams to align insurance processes with institutional policies. The role also requires monitoring regulatory changes, preparing reports, and providing clear communication and guidance to stakeholders regarding health insurance matters.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to explain complex insurance information clearly and support diverse stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Health Insurance and Insurance knowledge, including policy structures, claims processing, and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess Sales and consultative skills to guide individuals in selecting appropriate health insurance plans and options.
- Relevant experience in health insurance, hospital billing, or healthcare administration is beneficial.
- Ability to work accurately with data, maintain detailed records, and use insurance or hospital information systems effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Diploma or degree in healthcare administration, insurance, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
